A kitchen is only as good as the cabinetry behind the doors. At Designer Kitchen Direct, we build our cabinets in our own British workshop to furniture-grade standards, giving every kitchen a strong, reliable foundation.

Every detail is carefully considered, from the cabinet construction and internal finishes to the drawer boxes, runners, hinges and storage options. Our cabinets are built fully rigid, designed to arrive solid and ready to install, and made to last for the lifetime of your kitchen.

Rigid Construction

Unlike many high-street kitchens that rely on flat-pack units, our cabinets are built using a rigid construction method. This means they arrive at your home fully assembled, solid and structurally strong.

We use high-specification 18mm Egger high-density board for our carcasses, including solid back panels, helping to create a strong and durable cabinet that can support heavy worktops such as granite or quartz without bowing.

The inside of your kitchen matters too. Cabinet interiors can be colour-matched to your chosen doors or finished in a range of premium wood-effect options, so your kitchen looks considered and beautifully finished inside and out.

Solid Oak & Soft Close

The quality of a drawer is tested every time you open it. That is why we combine traditional joinery details with modern soft-close technology.

Our drawer boxes are crafted from solid oak and feature dovetail joints, a hallmark of fine furniture making that adds strength, durability and a beautifully finished detail. We pair this craftsmanship with high-quality Blum soft-close runners and hinges, allowing doors and drawers to close smoothly, quietly and effortlessly.
